Dubai’s rush hours generally fall between the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. If you are travelling anywhere in the city during that time, be prepared to deal with traffic or use another form of transportation altogether.
Just a stone’s throw away from the Visa Dubai Innovation Center is the Dubai Tram. This serves JBR, Dubai and Dubai Media City and runs most days from 6:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m. During peak hours the wait is typically only 10 minutes between trams. To reach most of the major attractions, hop on the Dubai Metro. It’s easy to use and runs on the Red and Green Lines usually every 3 to 4 minutes at peak times.
However, much like in most other cities that are growing by the minute, it’s far less stressful to let a taxi driver do the navigating while you sit back and relax on the way to your destination. Choose from several reliable car services, but do be patient—even the most experienced drivers can get stuck during rush hour.
